Imagine this conversation:
“My love, I’m bored. What do you want to do today?”
“I don’t know. What you want to do today?”
“I don’t know baby. What do you want to do?”
“Let me think… What if we call all of the HVAC companies and ask them how much it costs to buy a capacitor?”
“That’s a great idea! And also we can call the plumbing company to ask about a tankless hot water heater.”
“That’s such a good idea. What if we also call the electrical companies and ask them about generators and stuff. Don’t you think that’d be fun?”
“That’s the best idea! Also we can ask for a tune-up for our furnace. You know, and I really just want to learn about where my water shut-off valve is and all the main lines and you know, stuff that I shouldn’t put down a garbage disposal how to change a filter. Do you think we should just call around and ask people about this? That would be fun, right?”
“Oh, yeah, totally!”
How many of your customers have had this conversation? Well, none of them.
Nobody sits around on their couch all day thinking about calling you and asking you how much stuff is going to cost for the fun of it, or thinking about all the different things they could learn from you for the fun of it.
Nobody calls you for fun!
So every time the phone rings for your company, it’s for a reason. It’s because somebody needs you. Somebody needs plumbing or HVAC or electrical or whatever it is. They need your help. And if all we do is say, “Oh, it’s $89 for us to come out.” Or “We don’t do that.” You are losing leads!
Every time somebody calls you, it’s for a reason, which means that call is most likely a bookable call. So stop making excuses. Stop pretending that pricing calls are not leads.
Please take advantage of every single phone call that comes into your office as an opportunity to serve your customers and be proactive in finding solutions to help them.
We can help your team book 85%+ of their calls. Let us show you how.
