One of the best ways to ensure you create an amazing, wow customer experience every time you serve somebody is to budget for it, to plan it into your expenses.
Let me give you an example: we’re familiar with some companies who add a little, 1 – 1.5% on top of their pricing for services, and they use that 1-1.5% to surprise and delight the customer.
If the customer’s moved into a new home, and they paid for a high ticket service, the company will go out of its way to buy a nice vase or something to add a little style to the kitchen. Or if it’s a smaller ticket job, companies will write a thank you card and send it, or send a gift card to their favorite place for dinner in the mail.
A lot of companies cringe at this because they feel like it’s really expensive. But it’s not expensive if you plan for it. It’s not expensive if you budget for it, if you put that expense, if you add a little 1% on top of your price, and you use that 1% to surprise and delight your customers, give it a try and let us know how it goes in the comments or email zachary@PowerSellingPros.com.
